Hunting & fishing
There is plenty of fallow deer on Bjärka-Säby's land. Wild boars are also numerous. The moose population has decreased and is now, after the large increase during the 1980s and 1990s, down to the same level as in the 1970s. The deer have also, after peaks in the late 1990s, returned to the levels that prevailed about 40 years ago.

Bjärka-Säby's fishing waters in Stora Rengen and Stångån are part of the Ärlången-Rengensjöarna fisheries management area. There are plenty of large perch, pike and eel. There are also good opportunities to catch zander. The lakes do not harbor any stock of crayfish. A fishing license is required to fish in these waters.
